Fiordland National Park

This is the kind of scenery that makes people go quiet on deck. The ship glides through Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound, with sheer cliffs dropping straight into the water and waterfalls tumbling down either side. No need to go ashore here, this is pure scenic cruising, so grab a coffee and find a spot on deck early.

Kimberley Coast

One of the last truly remote stretches of coastline left in Australia, and most Aussies have never seen it. Expect ancient red gorges, tidal waterfalls and the chance to spot saltwater crocs from the safety of the ship. It’s a part of the country that’s genuinely hard to reach any other way, which is exactly what makes it special.

Dunedin

A small Scottish-flavoured city with grand Victorian architecture and a wildlife-rich harbour right on its doorstep. The Otago Peninsula is the drawcard here, home to the only mainland royal albatross colony in the world, plus penguins and seals if you head out to the right spots. Worth booking a shore excursion if wildlife is your thing.

Bali

After weeks of cooler southern scenery, Bali is where the trip shifts gear completely. Think rice terrace views around Ubud, beachfront seafood in Jimbaran, and temples like Tanah Lot perched dramatically on the coast. It’s a good chance to stretch the legs and soak up some warmth before the final leg to Singapore.

Singapore

The voyage finishes on a high with one of the most efficient and easy cities in the world to explore. Gardens by the Bay, hawker centres for an affordable feed, and the colonial precinct around Marina Bay are all close together and easy to do in a short window. A great bookend to a trip that’s covered so much ground.

Coral Princess – Ship Overview

Coral Princess is one of the smaller ships in the Princess fleet, and that’s exactly why a lot of returning passengers prefer her. With a more intimate passenger count than the mega ships, she still has the dining variety, entertainment and spa facilities you’d expect from Princess, just without the crowds and queues that can come with bigger vessels.

Dining

The main dining room runs on flexible timing with a daily chef’s special, so you can eat when it suits rather than at a set sitting each night. For something more casual, the International Cafรฉ in the Piazza is open around the clock for coffee, pastries and light meals. If you fancy a proper night out, the specialty restaurants are worth booking ahead, especially on the longer sea days.

Entertainment

The Princess Theatre hosts the main production shows most evenings, while smaller lounges around the ship offer live music, trivia and other low-key options if that’s more your speed. With so many sea days on this itinerary, there’s a full daily programme of talks and activities to dip into. Or, just as easily, you can skip all of it and find a quiet spot on deck with a drink.

Wellness

The Lotus Spa covers the usual massages, facials and treatments, and it’s worth booking early as the good slots on sea days fill up fast. For something quieter, The Sanctuary is an adults-only retreat with its own loungers and light meals, tucked away from the main pool deck. On a trip with this many days at sea, having somewhere properly restful on board is worth factoring in.

Coral Princess Cabins

Coral Princess offers a good spread of cabin types, from cosy interior staterooms right through to spacious suites, so there’s something to suit different budgets and travel styles. With more than 700 balcony staterooms on board, a private outdoor space is well within reach even if you’re not after the top end. On a voyage with this much scenery on the agenda, from Fiordland to the Kimberley, a balcony cabin is worth considering if it fits the budget.
